How to construct a curved bridge?
Usually we construct a bridge, the max cross slope may be 5%. In the condition, what can we do?
Firstly if there is a cross slope, it will be a curved bridge. According to the theory of centrifugal force, the bridge shall be lower inside than outside so that traveling vehicles are not thrown out.
With a cross slope 5%, the height difference at inside and outside is 5m per 100m. For a single lane highway, its width is about 15m, then the height difference at inside and outside shall be 750mm.
If a launching gantry wants to install pre-cast girders for this curved bridge, it shall stand on the bridge deck firmly.
Honeycomb girder launching gantry made by ZZHZ can move forward without longitudinal sliding rail, just two lateral sliding rails for front and middle support legs are necessary. So to construct the curved bridge, we just need to put blocks under lateral sliding rails at inside to elevate it about 750mm, then adjust angle between front support leg and middle support leg according to actual curved radius, and adjust front support legs and middle support legs direction along main girder to meet the demand to construct curved bridge.
Kindly note, the launching gantry made by ZZHZ can construct curved bridge with a min curved radius 400m.
