What is post-tensioning method?
Post-tensioning method refers the method that cast-in-situ cement concrete reaches specified strength, then tension pre-stressed tendons to form pre-stressed concrete member.
Usually it will reserve corresponding channels in the concrete member according to the position of pre-stressed tendons, after strength of concrete member reaches specified strength (generally not less than 75% of design strength), make pre-stressed tendons penetrate the reserved channels to tension and anchor it with anchorage device at end part of concrete member, transmit pre-stressing force of pre-stressed tendons by anchorage device at end part to the concrete to produce compressive pre-stress; finally pour cement paste into channels to form an entirety of pre-stressed tendons and concrete member.
